Indian Paintbrush Live Model Horse Show September 2024

My first time in Lander WY! I love this show and wanted to see it in its new location.

And everyone found out at Jurassic Classic that it would be held in Cheyenne, not Lander this year. So Yeah for Cheyenne!!

I offered to judge Custom Glaze China. I am very excited for all of the wonderful models I will see.

I bought a second table, hope to sell some models at it and wanted to support the show. And I had enough points to get my hotel room for FREE!!!!!! YEAH!!!!

I drove up Friday afternoon, got to my hotel, unloaded stuff, and then goofed around Cheyenne for a while, before heading back to the hotel and getting a good night's sleep.

Saturday morning dawned and it just seemed like an off day. I was having some ADHD issues. I get like this sometimes where I feel suddenly overwhelmed and nothing seems to help.

It lasted most of the day, but I don't think I was snappish with anyone and if I was, I apologize.

Got my table set up, went to the judge's meeting, then the show started. There were a lot of great classes and horses.

I judged custom glaze and while my classes were small the competition was tough between four showers - the horse below is the champion that I picked. He was an amazing piece.

The rest of the day was showing, showing, and showing. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I did get a few NAN cards, but mostly third to sixth or no placings. A couple of my horses broke at my table, not sure what happened so they will have to be repaired and go from there. I am just like, okay, that's not working today. I need to recheck everyone and make sure they are okay on my next day off.

I did win a door prize when they announced those - I got this nifty medallion.

Then back to showing.

Then they did raffle drawings - I only had $7 so I got 8 tickets. I was so shocked to win two items I put tickets in on!

Finished the day out with some nice placings.

I packed up and said goodbyes and then headed for home. It was a 2 hour drive and I got home and unloaded by 8:26 pm - I was so tired - I walked 17,000 steps! It was a good show and I am sad it won't happen in 2025, but hope it comes back in 2026!

Thanks to Anna and all the judges! It was a fun day!
