Protect Our Public Lands - March 22 Rocky Mountain National Park

Another rally and I am there. The weather was snow/rain/sleet, but for two hours I stood out with about 100 other protestors in support of RMNP. We had some influencers there from Instagram and TikTok, and people from about age 5 to 90.

There were a few drivers that actually flipped us off and boo'd us out their car windows - all I have to say to them is I hope you have the day you deserve and voted for, that you never return to RMNP, and if you live here, I hope you have to move away because Karma found you.

While it was cold, there were people I knew and it was nice to see the amount of support on a rough weather day.

Here are some of the pictures I was able to get.

Intro To Oil Painting Workshop - Painting Black - February 2025

My first time trying oil painting in a very long time! I got all the supplies and am anxiously awaiting the start of February 3.

I have to admit I felt a little sick to my stomach before it started, because my past experience was with oil paints in Kansas heat and humidity that never - and I mean never - dried. I threw that model away after a year because it was sticky/tacky.

SO with that in mind, I started the first class with a bit of trepidation, but it ended up being okay. This quick dry oil paint was amazing and Heather was instructive and helpful.

On February 17, week 3 of the painting class, we started adding white markings. I was terrified but started the Appaloosa Pattern and I am so so very happy with how my boy is turning out!

Now for the final night on the 28th doing manes/tails and finishing up.

AND I DID IT!!! I managed to get him completed before the end of the month!!! (Well right at the end) 11 PM mountain time he was done!!
