82WORLD: LA - KPOP Weekened October 17-18 - - - Part 1

 

When this was posted I jumped on it because there was no way I was missing ATEEZ!!!!!! Got tickets, got a flight, got hotels, and joined an ATEEZ group for those going! 

I am so excited for BE:FIRST, XIKERS, and ATEEZ!!! WOOO HOOO

I made bookmarks for freebie giveaways along with some photocards and SOPRO gems!

There were a lot of posts about the event and fun things going on! 

 

More fun stuff for the festival - 

 

I did post a video to try out for the dance competition, but was not accepted. Bummed until I saw the temps when I was going to be there. 

The dance instructor I had gone to one of his events in April/May in Denver was there for a different dance challenge before the dance with Ateez members.

 

I flew in on Thursday evening - I have to stop working 1/2 day before flying - I swear this was one of the hardest trips. I was stressed making sure I had everything - Autism and ADHD are a thing - and then I stood for 35 minutes outside in the cold waiting for my shuttle (usually I am the first person picked up - on this day I was the last) - so I had to sit in a side seat by the door and not behind the driver where it's easier for me not to get car sick. 

I was hella car sick all the way down - no barfing, but even with meds on board it was BAD. TSA went through both my carry-ons, because my light sticks were triggered and glowing weirdly. 

I did have a funny moment - the TSA agent asked me why the black cat was separated. I told him that he bites - true - WOOYOnyang is the ANITEEZ of ATEEZ's Wooyoung - who does bite the other members quite often. 

 

Then it was time to go to my gate - it was changed 3 times before it landed on this gate!

The flight was extra bumpy - not helping my unhappy stomach - thank you Santa Ana winds - landed safely - no barfing - so WIN WIN. Made it to the hotel and crashed. 

LaQuinta at Ontario airport is a nice hotel. A little loved, but the STAFF was SO fucking amazing and nice. EVERYONE. Probably one of the nicest hotel staff I have ever encountered. 

FRIDAY - Slept in, and was just lazy for the morning - still getting over being so sick yesterday. Again the hotel staff was great - check out was 11 and I couldn't get into my other hotel closer to the venue until 1 - so they let me sit in the breakfast area and read for about an hour.

My other hotel decided that they weren't going to let me do a 1 pm check in about an hour before I showed up - I showed up at one anyway - the lady tried intimidating me to come back at 3 - I told her nope, checking in now. She told me there would be a fee and I was like "Well if that's how you need to make your money go ahead."

She was nice to me after that - explained that I would need to come to the front desk each day to get my keys reset as their system just works on a 1 night key. I was like Oh - now I understand what all the complaints were about - people didn't LISTEN to that part. She seemed shocked I read the reviews. 

Got into the room, unpacked, then went to HELLO82 to get my wristband for the weekend and some merch.
