So 82World:LA was a new experience for me - I have never been to a KPOP festival - just concerts in venues.
It was fun, however, I found out that this was the first event and that explained SO much all the kinks I saw.
1) Club82 was VIP - they WAY oversold this - it was not a VIP experience. I expected something like RED WHITE AND BOOM in Kansas City that I have been too a few times - where VIP literally got front stage, all sorts of goodies and experiences. This was not that. It was a mosh pit. Don't run out of VIP stuff just because someone chose to come at 3 pm and not 1 pm.
2) Bathrooms - you need people cleaning them hourly at a minimum - having real flushable toilets was great and not having to use port-a-potties, however, cleaning cleaning cleaning.
3) Food - Figure there are going to be people there with food allergies and HAVE SOMETHING they can eat if you can't reenter once you leave so people don't have to go 8 hours without food.
4) Water - the water stations were AMAZING - free - and so so helpful! HUGE PLUS HERE.
5) Give the bands longer sets.
6) ADA - I am not even going to go into this - SO MANY ADA folks were treated like livestock - LITERALLY in a livestock pen - are you kidding me????
I would go again if I knew improvements had been made.
Monday I was lazy for a bit and finished packing. Had to check out by 11 and my model horse friend Katy picked me up at 10:30 ish. We went to Pasadena and Monrovia. And never got a picture - so here's our official picture. We ate at a fun cafe and she had to head to work.
I got a lyft to my hotel for the night. Relaxed for a bit then met up with my cousin Teri. Tina was on her vacation so couldn't meet up. I had to get pictures of Palm Trees, just because!
Teri and I had a fun time at Rainforest Cafe in Ontario.
They had a great Gluten free pasta dish AND BAKED french fries - SO GOOD
and we even got one of their overpriced photos!
Then on Tuesday I flew back to Colorado!
