NaMoPaiMo - Minis Painting Minis 2021

This year Jareth and BB8 are competing again in NaMoPaiMo's Minis Painting Minis challenge.

Primering done! Now to just wait for February 1 to paint!!! 

And it's February 1 and BB-8 and Jareth are busy at it. 

Jareth has taken over the art area - poor BB8 can't get in to paint. But as of today - February 6, 2021 - Jareth has completed his model and is pleased with it. 

Now with Jareth completing his model and onto ruling the Underground, BB8 is working on his! 

 

BB8 is still working on his and I started another model to see if I could complete a second Appaloosa this month. 

And finally on Saturday the 13th BB8 finished the model. 

As last year, this year's Minis Painting Minis has been a fun adventure. 

Favorite Artist Series - Model Horse Artist Kristy Thiessen

 

Kristy Thiessen is a Canadian artist that I follow. She does really cool, yet disgusting and disturbing Zombie horses, as well as some regular horses and other art pieces too. 

These are some of my favorites. 

This piece was a Collaboration with Epic Fail Studios.

Kristy has also done some of my FAVORITE medallions for Haunted Horse Live model horse show. I painted the ones below. 

And I own one of her crazy cool Zombie Horses - who shows very well for me - named Walking Dead (because she's a Tennessee Walking Horse and I like silly puns.)

NaMoPaiMo - National Model Painting Month - February 2021

 

It's that time of year again - NAMOPAIMO is Coming. 

Today I sent in my registration, my fee and posted my selfie - I am doing a Mini Thunderbutt (he was my 2020 ICEE horse) and now I am going to paint him green Appaloosa. I LOVE Appaloosas and can never just make them look right, so that's my goal - even in a fantasy color this year. 

I found this cute green Appaloosa on the internet and this is what I am doing. 

I am officially registered and ready to go - model is prepped and ready! It's hard waiting for February! I haven't decided if I am going to try to do a second model. 

February 1 - base layer on!!!

Now on to more layers!! 

I was horribly sick from my second covid shot or I would have completed him sooner. I managed to complete him on Saturday, February 6. 

I had a blast doing this fellow and working on some things that I wanted to try. Now to see what else I can finish this month!!
